Helping Sednaya Prisoners Rebuild Lives
YOUR CONTRIPUATION WILL SAVE THIER LIFESHelp Rebuild the Lives of Sednaya Prisoners..
Sednaya Prison, under Assad’s regime, became synonymous with unimaginable suffering. Thousands of detainees, including peaceful activists and civilians, faced brutal torture, starvation, and inhumane conditions. Many succumbed to these horrors, while survivors bear deep physical and psychological scars. The trauma of Sednaya extends beyond individuals, affecting families and communities. It’s imperative to support survivors in rebuilding their lives. By providing psychological care, vocational training, and community reintegration programs, we can help them heal and restore their dignity. Together, we can honor their resilience and ensure they find hope and justice in the face of unimaginable adversity. Help rebuild lives today.
The Program
Under the current Syrian circumstances, former detainees in the prisons of the former regime lack the necessary health and psychological care to integrate them into society, due to the severe lack of information about caring for detainees after their release from prisons, in addition to the neglect of them while they are in dire need of help.
This project aims to support and rehabilitate former detainees in Syria, especially those who were recently released during the revolution, who suffer from psychological, health and social effects due to their experience in detention. The project targets 123 released detainees, as the project will currently target 65 detainees in Damascus and Rural
Damascus governorates, including 15 women and two children. The project aims to provide psychological and health support, legal awareness, vocational training, and social activities, in order to ensure the proper reintegration of these individuals into society.
During the implementation of the project, cooperation will be conducted with influential figures in Syrian society such as Maxim Khalil, Yara Sabri and others to ensure a positive impact and reach the largest number of beneficiaries if possible.
